Chef Elliott is honored to share his technical skills and culinary wisdom with his friend and colleague, Celebrity Chef Christopher Yang, a scientist turned chef.
Chef Chris is a scientist turned chef. Two years ago, he was in the health care industry having graduated from USC with a BS in biochemsitry, went into pharmaceuticals, then hospital management. Soon he realized that the industry was not fulfilling and morally controversial to his values. While doing some sole searching, he stumbled into the culinary industry. Since then, Chef Chris has been cooking and loving the industry.
Chef Chris is a part of a culinary incubator program called Littlemeats LA. This concept builds a culture that brings the leverages back to the chefs; where chefs are given creative freedom to apologetically cook the menu they want. Whether that be beef tongue stew, kimchi deviled eggs or a Spanish kungpao chicken. Littlemeats LA host regular popup dinners every Sunday in Los Angeles for those who support our cause and food.
Originally born in LA, but grew up in Shanghai, China. Chef Chris states, “home to me is a very abstract concept, making it hard for me to solidify a culinary identity”.
