***Here’s a recipe that I love…***

Sour Cream Pound Cake


2 sticks butter, softened
3 c sugar
6 LG eggs
3 c all purpose flour, sifted
1/2 t salt
1/4 t baking soda
8 oz sour cream
1 t vanilla extract


Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, beating after each. Sift dry ingredients. Add alternately with sour cream to first mixture. Beat until smooth. Add vanilla. Pour into prepared tube pan. Bake in preheated 350°F oven for 60 – 70 minutes. Cool on rack for 10 minutes. Take cake out and cool completely before slicing. May glaze if desired. See More
