Drinking plenty of water can help start your cleanse. Drink ginger tea which helps to improve digestion and green tea which helps eliminate toxins from the body.

Chewable papaya enzymes can help promote digestion as well. Pregnant women should not chew papaya enzymes since they can be harmful for pregnancies.

Eat foods high in insoluble fiber, like carrot sticks with yo…ur turkey sandwich on whole wheat bread, or oatmeal.

Eat leafy greens which can help eliminate extra sugars in your body from that extra slice of pumpkin pie you had last night. Arugula, cabbage, kale, and other greens can help.

ImageAlright…Thanksgiving dinner is over and probably the leftovers too.  Here is a great recipe to detox and get ready for the Christmas Feast.
Red Cabbage Slaw Salad Recipe
Ingredients:   2 c red cabbage, shredded…   2 carrots, grated   1/4 c of cilantro, chopped   1/2 c of grapes, halved   1 Israeli cucumber, julienned   1 T sunflower seeds, toasted
For the dressing:   1 T ginger, grated   1 t honey   1 T lemon juice   2 T olive oil   1/4 t of sesame oil
Directions: Combine all the salad ingredients except for the sunflower seeds. In a mixing bowl, whisk the ginger, honey and lemon juice together. Slowly pour in the olive and sesame oil continuously whisking to emulsify the dressing.  Drizzle dressing over the salad, toss, sprinkle with sunflower seeds and serve.
